Crystal Palace dedicated to Queen Victoria and her husband

A crystal palace, as it can be defined, is installed in a monument of Queen Victoria's era and dedicated to herself and her husband. Its a mirage of glass and glitter. Its a new jewelry gallery at the Victoria and Albert Museum, both, a redolent of history and startlingly modern.

Designed by the architect Eva Jiricna, this transparent jewel box of an exhibition area is a two-tier gallery joined by a glass spiral staircase. The exhibition include historic pieces dating back 800 years.

This transparent gallety focuses on the individual pieces. Looking at the gallery is all stunning in artistic variation. Thinking of the hours of workmanship is an imagination of skilled artisan that has gone into the creation over years.
